A MOD Tax Refund is a travel refund that the HMRC allow you to claim for travelling to temporary postings of two years or less, whether using your own vehicle or public transport.

Normally you will except to get back £600-800 for each year you can claim. If you have four years to claim back, you could be due a rebate of £3,000.
Once we receive all your information and you have returned your forms to us, we will send off your application to HMRC the same day. Typically, it takes 4-8 weeks for us to receive the refund from HMRC. We then pay the money directly into your bank account on the same day we receive it.
Sometimes it can take longer if HMRC take a long time processing your claim but we will always press them to complete your refund within a reasonable amount of time.
We work on a no-win, no-fee basis and we don’t charge anything upfront. We will only deduct our flat fee of 25% + VAT after we receive your successful refund from HMRC. So remember, if there is no refund there is no charge.

Yes, we need a wage slip for each month you are claiming for so we can get back every penny you are entitled to claim.
You can get your wage slips from the JPA website. Just download them on your computer or screenshot them on your mobile phone/tablet, then send them to us. It’s that simple!

If you don’t have access to the JPA website you can call the JPA Pay Help Desk on 0800 085 3600. They can reset your password and send you paper copies of your wage slips to you. As soon as we have them, we can process your claim.

No, it shouldn’t. However, if your tax code changes just give us a call and we will put it straight back for you. We also check with HMRC as part of our procedures to make sure your tax code hasn't changed
Yes, we will give you £25 for referring a friend to us that completes a refund. You can refer friends at any time, even if you haven’t completed a refund. The great news is you can refer as many friends as you like!
